Our Tour's Fourth Day

07.00am: To Triveni sangam
08.00am - 09.15: at Triveni sangam, it is a river confluence. You can make a little shopping there.

09.30am -10.00am Tipu's Tomb. The great Mysore tiger fought against the British conquering lying with his parents. There is garden before the tomb
10.15am - 11.00am; Summer Palace, Tipu's present to Mysore.

11.15am - 12.00pm: Water Jail, tipu made this jail to punish culprits, when the corridoor to the chamber opens water from the Kaveri river flown into it and drawn the people.

Our Tour's Second Day

05.30am: The day begun here, we set to Thirunelli temle.

08.00am: Finally reached Thirunelli, the rod we proceeded was through forest. there was lot see and have fun.Thirunelli temple is an ancient temple dedicated to lord Vishnu on the side of Brahmagigri hills in Kerala. It is in a valley surrounded by mountains and beautiful forests 32 km away from Mananthavady, Wynadu.
The temple is at an altitude of 900m in north Wynad in a valley surrounded by mountains and beautiful forests near Papanashini river. We spent around 1 hour there, and had our breakfast from a restaurant near the temple.

09.00am: We moved into the bus and prepared to move to Kuruva dweep.

11.00am: Reached Kuruva. It is open hours 9.30 to 4.30pm. It remain closed during mansoon. It is 17km est of Mananthavadi and 40km north west of sulthan batheri. The island is located in the Kabani river tributary. The island surrounded by streams and river can be accessed using rafts or fiber boats run by the Tourism Department of Kerala.
We spent almost 3hr there. Arranged our lunch in a house turned hotel near the dweep, so the food was so cheep.

we had so much time to spend there, the one and only spot to visit remaining then was Pookode lake.

03.00pm: We moved to the place next. There ws nothing to tel you about the way to pookode lake. since we all were slept during the journey.

04.15pm: We reached on time. Pookode lake is a scenic fresh water lake in the Wynad district in kerala, The lake is surrounded by forests and boating is allowed. It spread across an area of about 8.5 hectares with a maximum depth of 6m.
         There are groups of blue water lilly flowers scattered here and there in the lake. Boats are available for rent but you are not allowed to pluck lilly flowers during boating. Visitors may walk around the lake.There is a children's park and a park nearby.....

06.00pm: We spent nearly 2hr there, and returned to the living after having food.

Our Tour's Third Day

04.00am: The day begun from here, today we are leaving Kerala. To Mysore, the Second largest city in the state of Karnataka. Located at the base of Chamundi Hills, about 140km south west of the state capital. The Bus proceeded via Muthanga, as part of the nilgrils we could see peacock, group of deer. we left the border early in the morning,
The entry to the new state with a different culture, gave a new feeling. The travel facility of Karnataka was so good, the smoothened roads and the riding on was so exiting.

08.00am: Finally we are in Mysore! St.Philomena's Chrch, buit in the honor of St. Philomena in the diocese of Mysore. Constructed in 1936, the architecture was inspired by the Colonge Cathedral in Germany, designed by a French man named Daly. The floor part of the Cathedral resembles a Cross. The Cathedral has a crypt That houses the statue of St. Philomena. The main hall can seat upto 800 people and having stained glass windows depicting scenes from the birth of Christ, The last supper, the Crucifixion, the resurrection and the Ascension of Christ.
spent around 45mins there, moved to a near by restaurant and had our breakfast.

09.00am: Mysore Palace, we were very early to the palace premises, because it opens only from 100am!!
so we people searched better places to shop something to home. we were planned a wide shopping 3days after.

10.00am: We got our pass, since we brought the letter from our Principle we got concession for the entry.
Mysore is commonly described as the city of palaces. it is the official residence of the Wodeyars- the erstwhile royal family of Mysore. It is the "Amba Vilas Palace". The Wodeyar kings first built a Palace in the 14th century. The existing palace construction was commissioned in  1897, and completed in 1912. Although tourists are allowed to visit the palace they are not allowed to take photographs. Visitors can't bring their footwear. The beautification of the palace was made, The palace blend together the Hindu, Muslim, Rajput and Gothic styles of architecture. The palace is the venue of Mysore Dasara Festival during which leading artists performing events there.
There is Public darbar in the Palace, one of the main attraction.
Spent almost 2hrs there.

12.00pm: Jayachamarajendra Art gallery, situated nearer to the Palace. Considers as one of the best art galleries in South India. We could see Raja Ravi Varma collections there.
spent one hour there.

01.00pm: We had lunch from a hotel near to the gallery. Most of us found difficulty to comply with the food available there!!!

02.00pm: Got pass to the Mysore zoo. It is Srichamarajendra Zoological Garden. 245acre zoo located near the Palace. It is one of the oldest and most popular zoos in south India. Established under Royal Patronage in 1892. one of the oldest zoos in the world.
We spent a  3.30hrs in the zoo.

05.30pm: After having a cup of tea, we proceed to Chamundeswari Hills about 13km from the palace city of Mysore. The temple is dedicated to Durga. The original temple was built was in the period of Hoysala Kings. The deity of the goddess is made in gold and the doors in silver.

07.00pm: Almost 1.30hrs were spent there, after we left to the Hotel. On the way we made a visit to the cave temple (Guha ksethram), in the hill and had a sight of the city during night.

Our Tour's First Day

06.45 am; Breakfast

07.15am; We started to Muthanga,

09.00am; About 1.45hrs took to Muthanga, it's very nearer to the border of Karnataka. We can take a safari to the wilderness of the forest. The tourisam department itself promotes the people to roam in the forest in an open jeep availabe there. Very cheap fares are provided for these facilties. During the wandering through the forest you might have face even with tigers. We saw Wild elephants, deers etc....

10.30am; To Meenmutty Waterfalls

11.30am; We took about 1 hrs to Meenmutty, there was a little walk to the falls from the parking. You peole have choice to walk or rent a jeep to the Entrance of the fall, Spent 3.30hrs there.
Girls may find little difficulty to down and climb back to the parking yard, so preffer suitable precautions. Unfortunatly we didn't had anything before moving to Meenmutty, so the Hunger Strike works!!! I've no assurance that you will not feel hungry even you have something hard, (the digestive glands works more powerfully there!!!!) We can have a lot a fun at Meenmutty

02.45pm; We found an ordinary house turned canteen for our lunch, the time was too late!!

03.30pm; After taking a li'll rest we moved to the Kaanthanpaara Waterfalls,

04.00pm; We spent almost 1.30hrs there, was a nice falls. You will be aware that beyond the beauty of the falls there hides a mortal slope, keep yourself safe while giong to the falls,the rocks are slippery.
The falls was very near to Rippon our Hault.

05.00pm; Moved back to Rippon, arranged a great fun there

Last saturday,
Ajaighosh, Adarsh, Alfred, Dona, Alitta and I met on Bismi's chettan's marrage,
those photos took there were uploaded to our +2 group "Science Batch St.Sebastian's Higher Secondary School Vazhithala' on facebook.....
Sure, all friends seen that fotos might gone back to memories.....
The very next necessary thing before us, is to conduct a successful re-union.
We're sure each and every one will come if one proper message is sent
